Pretty in Pink

Pink Trillium

                                                                                      Pink Trillium

Lots of Trillium blooming right now, and I have been finding some pink ones.  A brief Google Search revealed there is a pink variety, but it is very rare.  Wikipedia says the white blossoms sometimes turn pink before they wilt, so this is more likely, although I have never seen this before.

Reflections

                                                                                          Reflections

My search for Trillium took me to the far end of the Lake, where the water is shallow.  Caught some interesting reflections in the still water.

Male Oreole

                                                                                              Male Oriole

We put out a dish of Grape Jelly for the Orioles, and we have at least two pair visiting.  I place a small dish inside a larger one, which is filled with water, which keeps the ants out of the jelly. It is working out quite well so far.

Come again?

                                                                                         Come again?

This sign always makes me shake my head.  It stands at the entrance to the parking area for the beach.

  1. The sign made me laugh. I’m guessing they don’t want people parking on the the grass, but why not just say so? LOL You take gorgeous pix.

    • It’s a Government sign! Guess that is the only way to explain it! 🙂
