Looking Back

Icy decorationsI’ve been looking back at blogs I posted a year ago, and realize that as unpleasant as our weather has been lately, we were much worse off last year.Frozen Pine

By this time last year, we had already had one snowstorm an ice storm, and high winds which left us without power on more than one occasion.

My husband was released from the hospital just yesterday, so our Christmas will be very low-key this year.  Our daughter and her family will be visiting from Canada (if weather and slippery roads permit!), and we will be holding a memorial service for my Mother while they are here.

It is an especially difficult time of year to deal with the death of a loved one, but Mum had lived a long, full life, living independently until just a few weeks before she passed away, so we are trying hard not to be too sad.

So sorry for your loss. I lost my mum too in February. Still trying to adjust to life without her. She lived a full age too, but I wished she’ll go on living. Thanks for sharing!

    • Thank you Titi. It will be a big adjustment. It helps to know she is no longer suffering.
