February Sky

Icy drivewayA few days of above freezing temperatures does not seem to have made a dent in the two plus feet of snow we have on the ground.  It has however turned the packed snow on the roads in the Park and our driveway into ice.  It is a challenge to find places to walk Abbie where I don’t risk breaking my neck!February SunriseTo avoid taking endless photos of snow and ice, I have been turning my attention to the sky, especially on the few sunny days we have been blessed with.Pink CloudsNo sign of more thawing in the ten-day forecast, but March is only a week away.  Perhaps Winter will begin to break its icy grip on us then!

  1. Oh gosh! That does look dangerous. Be careful. Things not too bad here. There’s still lots of snow on the ground and more arctic conditions in the forecast but as you say, March will soon be here and hopefully we’ll see some warmer temps then.

    • I am thankful for our attached garage, so we don’t have to walk on this every day, but woe betide anyone who wants to come to our front door! 🙂 We don’t get many visitors these days!

  2. Can only hope. Here in Toronto my driveway melted into a puddle which then froze into a skating rink!

    • I hear you! Because of the slope, mine is more like a luge run!
