Big Snow

Snow covered greensWe are home-bound for today.  Snow began falling early this morning, and is supposed to continue into the night.

It is not so deep that we could not get out if we needed to, but one of the luxuries of being retired, is that we can afford to wait until the roads are plowed and salted before we have to venture out.snowy decorationsI have re-purposed some of my planters on the deck as Christmas decorations, by filling them with evergreen branches and silk Poinsettias.  They looked quite bright and cheerful before the snow buried them!

I measured 3 inches on the ground when I took these photos, and we will probably have at least another inch or two before it is over.

Think it will be a good night to snuggle down, stream a movie of two, and dream of Spring!
