Tree Work

Locust Tree

We had some tree work done this week.  A long-dead Weeping Willow needed to come down, as did a Box Elder which was leaning precariously close to the barn.  We also wanted some of the lower branches removed from the Locust tree out front as they were too close to the house and electric wires.

The crew arrived promptly and we were amazed at their speed and efficiency.  The whole job took little more than an hour and was very entertaining to watch.

Our stormy weather continues, so it is good to have these trees taken care of, so that they are less of a threat to the house and the barn.

I am trying to get the pastures mowed between storms.  We have had 2 1/2 inches of rain in the last two days so it has been an uphill battle.

Brian stopped at the farm to place our hay order for the year, but we have no idea when they will be able to cut.  The farmer will need three dry days to cut, dry and bale, and there is nothing like that in the forecast.

We have a large tree removed once. It was right next to the house. The crew was so skillful and fun to watch.
