Not quite so cold this morning, so we took the opportunity to head for the Nature Conservancy for our walk. Big snow is in the forecast, and if we get as much as they predict, we won’t be able to walk the trails for a while.
Almost took a dip in this icy stream as I was making my way back to the trail. A tree snagged my hat, and as I reached up to retrieve it I almost lost my footing. The stream is only about a foot deep here, so no danger of drowning, but it would have been a long, cold walk back to the car. Not a good way to end an enjoyable hike!
