Visiting wildlife

Was feeling a bit under the weather the last couple of days, so Abbie was a bit short-changed on her walks.  We made up for it this morning by taking a longer trek on a trail at the far end of the Park we haven’t visited in quite a while.  Smelled lots of musk back there, so the foxes must be hanging out back there.

We were surprised on Thursday morning to see a wild turkey in our back yard.  Otis, the orange barn cat came out to check it out and they eyed each other curiously for the longest time.  There are a couple of places on our back forty where the turkeys like to take dust baths and I often see their tracks, but I rarely get a chance to photograph one.

A couple of days later I managed to snap a quick shot of a deer wandering through the front yard.  They come through here fairly often, but once Abbie spots them they are usually scared away before I can grab a camera.
