In spite of the chilly temperatures we have been experiencing lately, I am seeing more wildflowers blooming every day. Found my first Trillium of the season yesterday, and some ferns just beginning to sprout.
The lake in the Park seems to grow more beautiful every day as the trees begin to leaf out. Today a brisk (and chilly) wind was ruffling the water, which seemed to add color to the shot.
We had not spotted the swans for a few days, but they are still around. Saw them today at the far end of the lake, so I really think they might be nesting here.
My daughter will be arriving from Canada tomorrow and on Wednesday we will be heading for Moab, Utah to hike and ride horses in the desert. Since neither of our husbands would appreciate this kind of vacation, they will be staying behind to take care of the animals and children while we are gone. Let’s hope they all survive!
