Had to take a few days off from the blog. The weather was too gloomy and wet to inspire photography, and I simply couldn’t come up with much to write about.
We have had a little bit of overnight snow, which has brightened up the landscape a bit, and is helping put everyone in the Christmas Spirit.
Looking forward to Christmas dinner with our dear friends tomorrow and on Monday, our daughter, son-in-law, granddaughters and Willow the Greyhound will descend on us. It will be chaos – and I can’t wait!
Today I must wrap gifts and put clean sheets on the Granddaughters’ bunk beds – an almost impossible feat. I must also try to remove as much cat hair from the house as possible, as our sun-in-law is allergic. Once Willow arrives, Sherlock will make himself scarce. He is not generally afraid of dogs, but somehow the mere sight of the Greyhound totally freaks him out, and he will hide out in the basement until she leaves.
